I took Harold today to be neutered and am feeling incredibly anxious!
Obviously am still very emotional about losing my baby boy so was determined to get Harold to the vets to have his bits done as dont want to go through that again and there are far too many piggies in the world needing love already.
When I booked him in I asked them if they were experienced with piggies and they assure me they were and they would look after him.
I took him for his pre-op check this morning and they werent convinced he was a boy! The surgeon stood there having a good feel and kept asking me if I was sure he was a male.
I became upset with them and another vet came through and took over assuring me everything was in control and that Harold was in safe hands and Ive left him there.
Now I'm thinking I should have took him and run!
Really cant loose Harold as well.
Assuming I bring him home safe and sound tonite and I now no longer trust the vets to tell me what I need to do....is there anything I should look out for over the next few days to ensure healing and a comfortable if sure Mr Guinea Pig?
As vets are obviously useless, where do I take my gang in the future for medical treatment? I live in Great Yarmouth in Norfolk
