Has anyone used wrapped hay for their pigs. Duster is going through dental problems at the moment and can't eat hay. I've brought about 10 different hays and she will only eat Timothy if we feed it to her. My daughter works at a pony rescue and they use wrapped hay for fodder. She brought some home tonight and Duster has eaten hay properly for the first time in about 10 days. It's smells wonderful and fresh and it it very green. Just hadn't heard about it before and can't find anything on Google. It's not hayledge though. Thanks.

Bagged (wrapped) hay is haylage (fermented hay) by definition, but there's several brands available made from different grass species, age of crop, wrapping details etc. Maybe your daughter would be better placed than you to find out brand and/or supplier?

There's also the possibility that it's legume (e.g. alfalfa) haylage, rather than grass haylage, as both are produced in the UK without strict labelling. I dunno if that's more tempting to piggies or not?
