might as well try it with the pigs and see or if you haven't opened the bag yet then just take it back and exchange it

Already opened the bag unfortunately - it was the pellets being a slightly different colour to normal that made me double check what I'd bought. :doh:

I've used these pellets before and not had any problems. I use supreme science selective now but as a one off I'm sure you'll be ok unless the piggies refuse to eat them
 
If you are concerned about them having the alfalfa you could mix them with their normal ones so they don't eat so many at once. That way you won't waste them. I usually mix a couple of different brands of pellets together to avoid problems if a pellet becomes unavailable.

That's a really good idea, piggieminder, I think I'll do that; it was them eating the alfalfa that was worrying me. Thank you! :D
