Hi has anyone self treated there pigs with this and has it worked as i think three of mine have mites and if it works it would be more cost effective and less stressful for my pigs then going to the vets

My vets gave it to me when some of mine had mites, it's better than the stuff you get from the pet shop (Beaphar) but it is quite expensive and I think you have to buy 6 tubes in a pack - you can get it online.

Worked on mine - but you need to be sure it's mites and not anything else / fungal

one of my pigs had it before plus they are all showing signs of it thanks for site

Xeno 50 is used for mini pigs, this was in another thread yesterday:

"Xeno 50 is a lower dose for mini pigs, it does advise dosage per weight on the packet, annoyingly it seems to come in packs of 9!

It gives dosage per bodyweight but most mini pigs will be over 200g (1 tube)

It says

200-300g - 1 tube
300-400 - 1.5 tubes
400-600 2 tubes
600-800 3 tubes

So you'd need to weight the 8 weeks old and treat with Xeno 50 I think - but best check with your vet

Have just bought s0me zeno 450 for my piggies and Vets uk offered the best price About £16- £17 for a pack of six tubes.I took one piggie to the vet and was charged £12 consultation and £5 for one tube so I decided to buy my own. Of course if it doesnt work then I will be back to the vet !

Does any one know how lpng a treatment with zeno 450 should last .
