Hi just wondered if anyone could advise.....i treated my 3 with xeno 3 for suspected mites about 5 days ago and they are still scratching........

should this have gone by now? or does it take time? I'm aware that they'll need a 2nd dose.

I weighed them carefully and applied the correct dose to their skin, so as far as i'm aware i applied it correctly.

Sometimes it can be until after the second dose, or in chronic cases the third dose, before you see noticeable improvement.

thanks for that.....just wasn't sure.

I dont actually think they are that bad, no hair loss yet, just loads of scratching, so thought i'd better treat them before it got worse. Was just was beginning to think it might be something else making them scratch....something else i hadnt thought of.

I've checked for lice, skin infections etc but nothing, only a little 'dandruff'

It may help their skin irritation if you bath them - I assume they are a few months old?

Many people including myself use Gorgeous Guinea products - check out Chrissie's website for details of her skincare products for piggies.

If you used the Xeno 5 days ago they will be fine to have a bath though you will still need to go ahead with their 2nd application :)

they are only 10 and 8 weeks old, so i wasnt wanting to bath them yet. Thats why I used the xeno 50 mini, and weighed them exactly.

I've bought products from Gorgeous Guinea and just waiting a bit!
