Is anyone decorating their cage for the festive season? Id love to have some red xmassy fleece with either xmas tree's on OR Gingerbread! Probably got no chance there but I'm sure i can find some red and green fleece :)) I'm going to buy those xmas pud houses and the wooden garlands :) Oh and that pet xmas tree from p@h. Maybe put some fairy lights round the base or round the top?(out of piggy reach!)
I'm very excited about xmas! I'm such a kid at this time of year! I love xmas! :))

SO ANYWAY, has anyone seen any cheap xmas fleeces anywhere?

I was going to but after spending so much this month on them they are out of luck. It's all going on the kids and family now.

can't wait to see everyone elses cages though!

I believe one of the online places had xmas fleece. Zooplus maybe?

Dunelm! I've just bought my girlies a red and white reindeer fleece for £4, they have other designs too :))

I'm thinking I'll play it simple and just put on the red fleece they already have. I'm also ordering new fluffy white beds for them (for all year use) but I'm thinking about saving them for the christmas cage. If I know my piggies right they will be most excited about a tasteful array of broccoli and cucumber. They won't mind a green christmas :)

I found really cute snowmen fairylights that I wanted to get though... Will see about that.

I usually just hang up their little stockings on the side of their cage. One year I did hang up lights though. :)

I won't be decorating their hutches, but I shall be decorating my piggies. Only temporarily mind, but I hope to take some christmas themed photos for Christmas cards.

I'm thinking Piggy by tree, Piggy by tinsel (carefully watched - they'll eat anything) Piggy with reindeer, piggy on fake snow, piggy with cracker, piggy in stocking.....

Maybe if I was really clever I could put a piggy face onto a photo of an angel on a tree...

Getting quite excited!

Of course what will happen is....Piggy positioned by tree. Piggy runs off. Piggy replaced. Piggy runs off. Repeats for five further attempts. Piggy placed back in cage with food. Owner goes to shops for bought cards.....

But you never know, this year could be different... :))

I'm definitely decorating the boys cage! I did last year and i bought some stick on Christmas pictures for there base of the cage, they are like gel things but with Santa etc on and i put tinsel on the bottom which they couldn't chew. I too bought the Christmas garlands from pets at home, i will take a picture of it next month when the decoration go up.

I also bought them a fleece from dunlums they had loads of designs and i chose the green one with Santa faces on. They were only £3.99 each and they had red fleece with reindeer's on if that any good, but id didnt notice any gingerbread men or Christmas trees, but then again i was so excited and trying to chose either the snowmen or Santa i may have missed it!

Have fun decorating the cage! :)

Do you have a nero 4? I have one and i put the tinsel on the bottom bit tied to the stand so they cant chew it as they cant reach it.:))

There is a shop near me in Yorkshire called 'Home Bargains' they have christmas themed fleeces for £1.99 but only in the bigger stores if that helps, to be honest i think people use them as tree base decorations but perfectly suitable for our piggies.

Seti has an advent calendar this year from Pets at Home which has a yogurt drop behind each window. He is also getting a stocking with lots of treats and wooden chew toys. I have also got him a new cage too as a joint christmas and birthday pressent as his current one is faulty on the clips and in a bit of a mess.

I'm really looking forward to Christmas with him this year, it will be great.
