Hi everyone,

I want to make xmas 2023 special for my gp Cookie. the trouble is knowing what to get a 6yr old who is very fussy. I even bought him his own stocking with his initial on it any ideas?

I have a couple of 6 year old piggies too. This is what they like: a nice fleece hidey to take naps in or a nice fleece cuddle sack to take naps in. We have a theme going here. I would also recommend getting a snuggle safe to stay nice and toasty warm.

A nice paper bag full of forage and a fleecy hideaway are always a hit in this house.

How a out a trip to Hotel Chocolat? Purely for the nice paper bag you understand. Nothing to do with the chocolate you need to buy in order to get the nice paper bag of course! The bags come highly recommended by Micah and Ruth (@Merab's Slave)

It’s true, mine get very excited by a paper bag full of hay.
They also love a handful of green oat hay.
As they think every day is Christmas they aren’t too bothered by the real Christmas Day

Just remember Christmas isn't about presents etc it's about keeping health right and just makes sure guinea pigs have plenty of cuddles for them

Rosewood do some nice items for guinea pigs.They sell on Amazon and various other sites.I type in rosewood boredom breakers.

I recently did a “tidy up” of my piggies treats and chucked all the stuff that was nearly empty into a Tupperware, shook it up and called it piggy trail mix - I sprinkle it around the cage and they go crazy for it! great for fussy piggies because they can forage for the bits they like. Also I saw a lovely cardboard hide in Jollyes with merry xmas written on the top in coconut - super cute so deffo on my list for Christmas

Yeah unfortunately cookie won’t touch them. I bought the wooden fruit shapes and he will walk around them and not go near them!

Mine don't like wooden things either so I go for stuff like the celebration cake or carrot cottage which they love.Theres other things by rosewood they like too.

My oldest piggie poppy is over 8 now and after coming through bladder stone surgery a month ago I want to get her some nice things for Xmas,due to her age it could be her last one.

That's good he likes that,the celebration cake would be good for him.Ive not had any piggies who don't like it.
