Xmas tree?

I saw a video online; somebody gave their pigs the top of a xmas tree and had made baubals out of tomato and carrots and apple etc.

I think its a great idea and want to make one for mine, but, I know she would have a go at the tree as well and I'm not sure what types of trees/plants are poisonous to guinea-pigs.

Can anyone suggest something I can use to make a guinea-pig friendly xmas tree? :smitten:
 
thanks, thats great, at first i thought you meant a normal xmas tree not a mini one. id love to do that too :)
 
You shouldn't give guinea pigs any form of pine or evergreen, as it is very toxic.


maybe you could make a pig friendly xmas tree by useing say a whole/half a sweed, & then stick some apple twigs into it. & also put some grass over it, then you could hang some piggy treats from mini tree ;D :smitten: though not sure how safe it would be with twigs poking out, so be best to watch them with it. hope that might help, as my idea does sound bit mad lol
