I'm so happy, I was just in the garden and out of the corner of my eye I saw a little baby! So I thought I better check through the straw and we actually have 2 new arrivals! (At last :) ) BEAUTIFUL one is like a mousy colour and the other is brown, black and white x

Congrats! I am glad that all has gone well for your mum and pups. Please be aware that straw is not ideal for guinea pigs; use soft hay instead. Hay is what they should eat, and you are also having less of a problem with potential hay pokes in the eyes and other injuries.

Young guinea pigs have not yet got the body mass to adjust to low temperatures, so unless your piggies are in a heatable/well insulated shed or hutch, please bring them indoors if that is possible.

Here is more detailed advice on baby and mummy care (Read part three). Please take good care of Toddler; two pregnancies are taking a lot out of her. If you need help with sexing, you are always welcome to post pictures of the relevant bits in our pregnancy section. Always angle the privates towards a good source of light and try to get as sharp a picture as possible. You will need to separate any male babies at ca. 3 weeks old/250g of weight to prevent more pregnancies. Any girls can stay on with mummy.
