i am most likely going to be getting not 1, not 2, but maybe 3 or so more piggys! i know i said i did not have the room but my mom had a great idea that i hadn;t thought of before. (ecstatic here) ;D anyway, the piece of furniture shadow my current pig is on now is a dresser. if i get rid of the dresser and put in a 3 shelf shelving unit there instead i would have room for 2 more big cages! and shadow;s home would go on top. i know, for alot of you guys this is probably not big news but for me i am ecstatic about this! i have been REALLY wanting more pigs (its all i can think about, and driving my mom crazy too, hehe) and i just might get my wish! but first i have to get a job and this won;t be til sometime next year, i know its awhile but thought i would share. oh, now my question, would 2 cages each one being approx. 30 inches L, 16.5 inches W, and 16 inches tall be big enough for 2 guineas to share or should one pig be in that size of cages? i don;t know what the measurements are in centimeters though, the rulers that i have don;t have centimeter markings on them. someone pls let me know. thanx!
Firstly congratulations on being allowed more guinea pigs. The measurments you've given would only be enough room for one piggie. I have one guinea pig in a cage which is 40 inches and even that seems too small. Have you thought about a C&C cage? Or Zooplus have some great cages http://www.zooplus.co.uk/home
they have a tommy 102 which comes in a double or triple which I was thinking of getting O0
thanks for the link to the website but i think it would be more convenient to find something near where i live-i live in the US so and i don;t think my mom would want to order from there and have it be shipped here. not unless we can;t find anything else which is doubtful. but thanks anyhoo. i am happy to be getting more piggys but like i said it won;t be for a few months around 4-5 months or so, i don;t know. until i get a job and have extra money to spend. so 2 piggys in 1 cage that size would be over crowded? Shadow my pig i have now is in a cage about that size and it works fine for him. he definitely is not complaining ;D but anyway, can;t wait!
