hello the piggy who was losing weight and no thanks to the vet he was seeing went to another vet and has had his surgery and here is his update:
Sorry for the late reply, i took piggy in at 9am and we didn't get him back until about 3pm. He survived! YAY !
The vet said his mouth was really bad inside, he had to pull one rotten tooth out and file 4 others, he cut the spurs out and he said one tooth was so bad it was embeded into the skin in his mouth.
It was a bit hard to follow because i was just excited that he survived lol. He has some oral baytril to take over the next 2 days and the vet said we shouldn't need to syringe feed him after that, he should start to eat again!
I have given him some syringed veggie juice and he ate some pieces of bread (i know its bad but its soft and he likes it)... i CAN'T WAIT to see him start to put on weight!
We have to take him back next week sometime so the vet can double check he is ok and then the vet said to bring him in every 6 months. Wow i'm so lucky to have found this vet, he is wonderful and i trust him !
Piggy will be feeling so relieved in a few days
Thank you for the prayers..
Something sure worked! I was so upset this morning and thinking it might be the last time we see him. It's really scary that he could have died over teeth problems of all things. Poor baby !
I bet my regular vet wouldn't have done all that, this guy is really thorough and explains everything, he was very confident and knew straight away what was wrong.
This is the best Easter present i could hope for. I will let you know how it goes over the next week.
I'm sending healing thoughts your way for Zoe and the Cats!
Take care and THANK YOU once again for all your help. It's been great to talk to someone as crazy about animals as i am!
=) PPB
Thank you to all your friends too, it's so nice to have that kind of support from people who understand.
Enjoy your night / morning / Easter
