Hello all, I am so happy that just this evening I actually heard all three of my piggies wheeking, it will be one week tomorrow that I have had them, the older one started to do it a day or two ago just a little bit in the morning when she heard me coming to her cage, the younger two were and usually just make a constant funny grunt noise while they are running about, I put them into their new cage which I bought today and they all seemed really excited and were running around, it was great to watch and hear, I have put a tube in there and they love going through it.

Also I just named them all a couple of days ago, I wanted names which related to them like... ( The one on the right of the picture) is called April because she was born in April, the one in the middle is called Sunday, because that's the day we picked them up and the longer haired one is called June because that's when she was born. Happy me :D

They we gorgeous, lovely names. It is so lovely to hear them wheek! It is a sound of excitement.

Aww, how lovely! They are so beautiful. It is lovely they have settled in so well.

Lovely names! Great that they are settling well!

April, Sunday and June are beautiful. I am glad they have all found their voices! It's great when you hear them for the first time. I never get tired of hearing piggies wheeking. We have had one silent piggy 'Putt' who never wheeked.

Hope to see lots more of your trio soon

What lovely names for your beautiful girls. Wheeking is such a joy to hear. One of my sadly departed piggies never wheeked but the others have always wheeked, usually at mealtimes. The current 4 are nicknamed the wheeks chorus as they all kick off together once started by the ringleader.

oh what beautiful pigs! mine still haven't found their voices yet :(

Thanks all for replying, I am really enjoying having them, the two younger ones are being more brave now and coming out more, I stand there in front of their cage watching them for ages.

That's great they are wheeking. It means they are happy. I love hearing them wheek. One day the 2 younger ones will come running up to the front of the cage when you talk to them. You are doing great if they are settling in in just a week.

April, Sunday and June!
awwwww so adorable.
Congrats on the wheeking. My lil one wheeks soooo quietly cant wait to see if she gets louder.

You won't be saying that in a few months when they are wheeking constantly to play on your emotions until you cave in and give them more treats and veg;-) only kidding. It always cheers me up. Especially after a bad day at work.

Love your piggies, and the names!
My piggies wheek all the time, whether it's to let me know they want food, I didn't give them their vegetables yet, or they are just being greedy. I love to walk into my room and hear their welcoming squeaks, it makes my day so much better. :)

Yes they have now started to wheek as soon as they hear my voice when I get up in the mornings, as soon as they hear me returning from outside and come through the door and as soon as they hear the carrier bags rustling, or anything that sounds like a carrier bag, its still so sweet though, and April the bigger one who is pregnant has started to wheek a lot louder than the younger two as if she is blowing through a whistle, it sounds so funny. :lol!:
