My guinea pig has some yellow crust on his mouth. I have touched it and tried to move it (thinking it was some pepper) but it wouldn’t come off. There is also a bit of eye discharge from both of my pigs BUT NOT MUCH. It goes to the bottom crease of the eye and I usually brush it off with my finger. There is also a black sort of hook on his lower belly that I have not touched due to my guinea pig throwing me off. It sticks out a bit as well.
There have been no breathing problems, I was listening to their heart and breaths and everything seems normal.
Very confused!

Hi

Could you please post a picture. Your description is unfortunately too vague for us to be able to comment on.

Thank you for the picture.

It looks like something stuck and dried that will have to come off in its own time (potentially some 'boar glue', dried semen fluid); but it is definitely not a lip infection (cheilitis), which can in some cases be very serious.
