Hi, I’m new to the guinea pig word. And I was wondering why there is yellow crusty residue on my pregnant guinea pig teats!?

Well at least I think she is pregnant.
Do you know that she has had contact with a boar?
We can’t know what it might be particularly without having seen it and without any background, age etc, - for example crusty nipples can be a sign of ovarian cysts if she was to be in the right age range - but we can only suggest you have a vet check her out.

How old is your sow and how long have you had her? Without some background information it is impossible for us to interpret the symptoms.
Generally, crusty nipples are associated with a hormone surge.

She is 3 years old. I got her 5 days ago. And they bought her a month ago from some people. I have no idea if they had a Boar. She is totally fine! She just has a tiny bit.
Have you been able to get her to the vet?
What makes you think she is pregnant?
Are you getting her a friend?
Piggies shouldn’t be kept alone so it would be a good idea to get her cleared by a vet and then look into bonding her with another if she is currently by herself

That is very much the classic age for hormonal ovarian cysts. Crusty nipples as you describe them are the most common giveaway; they are not associated with a pregnancy - on which we cannot comment due to lack of access and information. Ovarian cysts could be mistaken for potential embryos.
I would recommend that you have her vet checked, as we recommend with all new guinea pigs. Only a hands-on examination and/or a scan can tell you what you are dealing with. It could be one or the other, or even both.

She has a pear shape she is eating a lot more, she hiding a lot more she has a big belly, she’s sleeping a lot more And yes She has 3 friends! Not all together but her and another one. And then two other ones together!

Being pear shaped is an entirely normal body shape and doesn’t mean pregnancy.
As wiebke has said a hormone problem may be in play given her age and crusty nipples.
Do get her seen by a vet.

Sows can be naturally very pear-shaped (the shape is genetically determined) and a big appetite is not something you can use to diagnose a pregnancy with. The appetite gets bigger only in the very last stages during a 10 weeks pregnancy when the pups grow big enough to show. A great appetite is by no means even throughout a pregnancy and can have plenty of other causes.

This is my Tesni (2011-18) less than 24 hours before giving birth to a surprise baby.
(Dad turned out to be a supposedly safe over 5 weeks post-neutering op boar at the place I adopted Tesni and her sister from).
