So I can't get a photo as my guinea pig is quick and doesn't really like having photos taken. But he seems to have some yellow stuff around his lips? Could this be from a carrot? Of course he doesn't have them often at all. And if he does it's only a tiny amount of carrot. But could it just be from food?

It sounds like something he has eaten or that has caked on?
If your piggy has yellow-brown scabs on the lips, then please see your vet for cheilitis (lip infection) and stop feeding any fruit asap. Guinea Lynx :: Cheilitis

Piggies can eat all parts of a dandelion safely, including blooms and roots.

I thought the yellow could have been from dandelions, that you can still get in some timothy has mix bags, just a thought

Thank you, don't worry there not scabs. As my other guinea has that from when eating tomatoes. But it never fully goes. It comes back but we have treatment for it.

Thank you!
