When I put Charlie in his pen for floor time his wee looks like it has a slightly yellow tinge on the towel. Also when he wees on his fleece, the calcium deposits are powdery but slightly yellow. Any idea guys? I didn't notice this last week, I think it wa just clear... can't be sure though. Anything to worry about? ?/

Wait a day to see if something was just in his system. Have you been feeding him something new? If it doesn't stop within 24 hours and you feel you must do something go to the vet. If you want to take him to the vet earlier do so. Hope it stops.:0

Because he's a rescue pig all the veggies he's had this week could be fairly new to him. He's also been swapped on to p@h nuggets instead of musili. He's acting normally in himself. I'll just see how he goes

Alfalfa hay is high in Calcium yes, but is safe to feed babies and helps build strong bones. Did you just swap the dry food over or introduce it slowly?

I don't have any musili so I swapped it, but it was introduced very slowly. He only had a very small amount for a few days, building it up. He doesn't really like them but I'm hoping they'll grow on him as the girls love them.

He did have an alfalfa bale yesterday as a treat so I'm thinking that might have caused it

Better to ask what they haven't had haha. Been mixing things up a lot for him, trying to find out what he likes. He's had cucumber, carrot, broccilli, peppers, cherry toms, lettuce, various fresh herbs, corriander, cabbage and a bit of kale. He's also had the odd grape and raspberry.

Tommorrow I'm cutting out all high calcium foods so will see how he goes

I've just noticed that my sows have yellow wee too! 8...

The only different food they have had this week is kale, cabbage and dry herbs. Could these be causing it?!?

If you're worried, I would take them to the vets. Better safe than sorry IMO! Hope they're all alright.

They are all fine in themselves. That's why I'm thinking it's something they've eaten lately. What with the new foods introduced. Today they had very little of the high calcium foods.

I just wondered if anybody had any experience of this with their piggies?
