So my vet told me to try using yesterday’s News bedding (before I was using fleece) I got it and now I’m using it I even got the softer texture and it a juts so hard! I feel bad about putting it in the cage, it feels almost as hard as their pellets ...I was told to use it because my guinea pig is always sneezing(he’s been on antibiotics before and now he’s on it again) so he said to try that but I don’t think my Guinea pig would’ve been allergic to the fleece? Idk why he’s sneezing but yeah had anyone tried yesterday’s News bedding?

Under his little hiding spot I put a pee pad(made out of fleece) because it’s softer than the yesterday’s News
 
I’m sorry I don’t know yesterday’s news bedding is. Is it shavings or something similar? Piggies shoulfnhh TV have an allergy to fleece - at least I’ve never heard of it. Did you eliminate anything else that could be causing irritation?
 
Not heard of this bedding but upon looking it up, it appears to be cat litter.

no he is unlikely to be allergic to fleece. If a URI has been ruled out then irritants such as hay dust, candles, scented sprays in the room etc need to be excluded - remove any irritants from the room and change hay brand to see if it helps
 
Yeah I stopped using my candle and stuff....the bedding is basically like newspaper but compressed into like pellets so basically it looks like their food and feels like it...I also didn’t think it was the fleece idk what it could be

if you’ve stopped using candles etc now, but had previously then it could still be that or the hay dust
