Turns out the flakey skin Daisy and Lexi have is mites. I have to treat them all and 6 lots of xeno 450 just cost me £120. Aarrg, 70% of my bank balance, i couldn't believe it when I got to the desk, I thought someone must have put too much on the bill. Oh well, whats done is done and they will be happier little non itchy pigs soon. Does make you wonder what the vets get out of that £120 though.

oh my god look how cheap it is on suzannes link compared to the £120, you have a rich vet with profits like that!

Thanks, will def do that next time. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr blasted money making vets. Would have probably looked for it cheaper if I hadn't been taken by surprise at the vet reception desk.

Yeah no kidding. I know who payed for their new extension and surgery suite :))mallethead me.

I do need 3 boxes for my 6 girls but £50 compared to £120 is still loads.

Can't you order a pack of 6 and when they come take the unopened pack back saying you didn't know how littl emoney you had or that someone gave you some so you don't need them or something?

That's alot of money.

Oh my gosh that is taking the serious whizz. I'm sorry you didn't know you could get that online cheaper hun.

I'm a vet nurse, that is way overpriced, the only thing i can think of is they charged you consult fees for checking them, but normally most vets will charge one fee for all, so even so its way overpriced

Bet they shut up shop and went home early that day. I paid only £70 for a guinea to be spayed, alot more work involved. I think I would be on the lookout for another vet in case you need one in an emergency. Gosh that is a rip off.

i buy xenex 6 tubes from my vet and it cost 16 pounds it maybe different but i use it for ticks lice and fly strike has it states on the box and have found it works very well...and i use ivemec for mites

I asked if they had charged for one consutation and they said it was just the medicine that was really expensive.

Your not the only one who paid a silly price for the xeno. malletheadI too had to treat my two boys last year and i bought foue vials from the vet as i didn't know i could get it online until i done a search and ever since the big vet bill i order mine from the vet UK site for half the price. :)

It is sad that you overpaid; but look at it this way, this site saved you a huge amount of future money because from now on you will check around first. As well, you can always check for the generic form of any ordered med.

This is what I use, its exactly the same as Xeno 450 (Ivermectin)and lasts for ages!
Its only costs £26.28 and is so cost effective as no waste.

http://www.pharmaq.co.uk/shop/#962X968I recommend everyone get this!

That looks good i would have ordered some but have just ordered some ivomec and panacur from medi animal. Will use that stuff next time, thanks for sharing it. :))
