Yippee,
A couple of you may know that I have been on the waiting list for a spayed sow "wifepig" for my lone boar Bumble - who is also my piggy fitness instructor,as I seem to spend most of floor time trying to stop him trying to clamber into my girls pen.Apparently we were next on the list after Dalton's wife Boursin (now Bernadette ) . I was home checked by a lovely lady called Carol last Sunday, who lives in FRANCE, but used to live not far from me for over 20 years, and was over visiting relatives for Christmas. So now Bumble will be getting 2 wives - currently called Mozzerrella and Camembert (Tracy is still on the Cheese names ) - pigtures of said ladies are on Rugby Rabbit and Guniea pig Welfares web site.Due to work commitments and not the best driver in the dark / being on my own with 2 children I cant go to collect them from Rugby until Thursday next week (I dont have a sat nav - so should be a real laugh stopping every 5 mins to check the print out from R.A.C. route planner ).
Any suggestions for nice girly names would be appreciated Mozzy and Cammy have been mooted ,but I am sure there are others out there .:)):))

Oh how lovely! I think you need to see them before choosing names to see if they suit them.

Wonderful news! I am sure that Bumble will be in boar heaven!

What about Bea and Bella? Or Blossom and Honey?

Awww, so pleased he will be getting not one but TWO wife pigs! What a lucky boy Bumble is!

Yes Piggyfan,I totally agree - you do need to see them for naming, there are a few pigtures of them on the Rugby website - and very pretty they are too x)x)- Its my birthday new years day,so its a wonderful Birthday pressie for me,not to mention Bumble - he will be sooo happy :)):))

I usually make a short list of my favourite names based on the rescue pics and what the rescue people are telling me. Often, I let them make the final choice. Occasionally, I change a name later on when it doesn't work out for some reason or other.

I am sure that you will come up wth some suitable names!

PS: Having had a peek on the website, you might like consider Peony/Lily and Pansy - they are truly gorgeous girls!

Am going to dig out what spares I can to give to the rescue - I know I have some rabbit water bottles etc - and Tracy was buying some today - might have to take a vegetable boquet with me as well lol:))

Thanks Farquhar - whee are following in your footsteps - lots to get ready before next Thursday - and am telling Bumble to enjoy his last wheek of batchelorhood before he becomes a henpigged husboar :(|)

Yes,I am so exited for Bumble - whilst he can see and hear my 2 girly pigs its not the same as being in with them .I have been on tenterhooks since the Sunday before Christmas when I had my home check - and then had to wait for the paperwork to get through the Christmas post - seems it arrived at Rugby on Christmas eve - Camembert has the same tri colouring as Bumble, and has a slightly abby look about her - whilst Bumble is full abby with a face like a smiley baby lion- he also looks like our Doctor (who is a man with a beard- as opposed to a woman docotor with a beard lol):))
It really is the best Christmas and birthday present I could have :)

Well today we have all decided - after agonizing over names for days we have settled for Honey and Bea - so by Thursday night we will have Bumble -Bea- and Honey (Bumble - Bea and Honey- Bea ):)) - so thanks Wiebke.
