2-year old Yorkie doesn't seem well. Noticed on Saturday she has developed bald patch on back that is sore to the touch, and had a sore on leg, both of which appeared very quickly as she was okay Friday. She shares a hutch with her daughter and I wondered if female piggies fight, no previous signs of aggression though. I've seperated them. Yorkie is eating and drinking. Is there anything I can give her for the soreness or cream I could use? I read somewhere you can give them Calpol but no idea what dose you would use.
Any advice appreciated, thanks.

You are best taking her to the vet just to be sure, in case the sores get infected. They will provide the best cream for her. :)

Thanks, am taking her to vet but just wondered if there was anything I could do to help in the meantime.

If there is no broken skin, you can try a bit of aloe vera get. But the sooner she gets seen, the better for her!

Without a diagnosis or a clear enough idea of the problem, I'd have to agree that I'd recommend nothing more than Aloe Vera gel at this stage. Hopefully the vet will recognise what the problem is and you'll have a better idea of how to help Yorkie.

The Calpol is for pain relief not general sores, so although the sores are tender to the touch, I wouldn't advise using Calpol unless the case was severe.

Keep us updated. :)
