Yoshi and Otto being Neutered Thursday

Very relieved, even though I've done piggy surgery many times, it's still a nervous time. I hope from a smooth recovery too Vicki! Hopefully the antibiotics they were sent home with will keep any nasties at bay!

My own vets give a course of prophylactic antibiotics post neuter, too but I don’t think it’s common practice. Everything crossed. They are both young fit boars so should bounce right back x

So glad it went well! Theo (and his humans) are following all the neutering threads obsessively worrying about his turn next monday. Hugs and wheeks from Theo and the girls!

Yes I was discussing that with the vet this morning. He agreed that with guinea pigs due to their infection risk it should be given post op so sent them both home with some.

Thank you!

Very pleased to hear that everything has gone well for the boys and that they are demanding veggies this morning. Not long till they can meet some girls.

healing vibes to them both from my herd.x Hermes is now in with his 1st wife, she spaded. he is so in love with her.

Both boys sailed through their first post op check this morning and are doing well. Back to their usual selves. Otto demanding breakfast and Yoshi trashing his cage cos he doesn't appreciate what I've done to him!

Dear Theo

Mummy tells us that you are visiting the Plum Fairy on Monday. We would just like to say that you won't know anything about it, you will be put into a nice sleep for a bit and wake up a little sore "down below". You'll have some medicine to take away the hurty bit for a while and then you will be fine. You'll enjoy yourself in 6 weeks when you go in with Piggle and Puggle! Both Christian and I visited the Plum Fairy over 2 years ago and we love living with our wifelets (although Velvet does tend to boss us around).

Lots of love

Dennis and Christian

I'm glad the boys are doing well.it will be such a joy when they have some girlfriends, will be in a euphoric state .I have two boars that are one week post op,both recovered well, just metacam to give for 5 days.the exotic vet does not give antibiotics post neuter!Ruth you will be able to rest now !xx

I will thank you :) Yoshi will hopefully love his new wifeys and Otto will have the chance to be adopted out to someone with ladies for him to love :D

Glad it went well.
Otto is so gorgeous I must confess to twinges of temptation as I have 2 sows recently bereaved.
I think I live too far away which will temper the temptation!
