I have to fight my piggies to get the heat pad back!
that's right they sit on it and will not get off, I have to tip it to slide them off then I get shouted at. They only forgave me when i returned it re heated lol xx love piggie personalities x
 
Oh fantastic I'd love to see that. I'm thinking I need to get some water bottles for the entire family and we are all indoors. It was soooo cold last night.
 
I will try next time I have to re heat lol.....round two!
 
do you use them indoors or are they outdoors?
Only it is very cold and our heating is run off coal , so when the fire goes out the temp drops a bit , they are inside but wondered if they need extra warmth .
 
Mine were outside but during the snow last night we carried their cage into the conservatory, but they still have their heat pad.....think I'm too scared not to put it in lol
 
2 of mine stand on their back legs and reach up with paws to bring it down…..as if to say I'm not fast enough!
They're all outdoors, but I've put clear plastic with holes in across mesh doors (for ventilation) and keep wind and cold out a bit.
all of mine are rescue and were previously kept outdoors, so i'd like to think they're used to the winter - however I'm not getting complacent with that and still give them heat pads and straw stuffed into their cozies

I use my hot water bottle every night.... it was VERY cold last night..
 
has anyone ever tried those self heating pad / blanket things ?
