When you rush out in the middle of a massive thunderstorm at 1am in the morning because the shed door was open (to keep them cool), its pouring with rain and thunder and lightening over head....you get soaked to the skin but you are worried they are scared. They have definitely been playing mind tricks as at that time in the morning my husband was fully understanding that it was the right thing to do...definitely mind tricks and hypnosis going on.

Actually, they were sound asleep and I woke them up even though it sounded like world war 3 outside! :hb:

because they are in your room your afraid to make a noise incase you disturb them and when you accidently make a loud noise you automatically turn to them and say how sorry you are :D

Haha! I do that, I also give them a running commentary on everything I'm doing to 'pre-alert' them! I've had some odd looms when doing that out on vet visits as well walking to and from the car!

Removing pieces of furniture from your room so you can fit in all the guinea pig supplies - and spare cage, who needs a bookcase anyway?

Also, rearranging furniture so you can fit in a dedicated piggy fridge - so what if I now need to move furniture every time I want into my wardrobe!

Bwahaha! Not quite furniture but I cleared out yet ANOTHER cupboard in the kitchen for the gpig stuff. I now have a full floor to ceiling cupboard full of gpig and dog stuff :) Who needs loads of pan space anyway!

When you are seen taking cardboard boxes home from work and people no long question why because they know its for the pigs.

When you make the mistake of telling non-pig people about the lastest veg or herb youve bought for the pigs to try and they say "er guinea pigs cant eat that" and you sound like a crazy when you reply with "...well the guinea pig forum says..."

When youre late for work on multiple occasions because the pigs were weaking and you just HAD to go and see them and take them veggies so that they wouldnt miss you.

When you get up in the middle of the night and go and check to see if they are okay.

When you bolt awake in the night and ask yourself "is the cage shut/are they okay/what was that noise/I hope they havent run out of hay".

Yes, I always have several thoughts of thinking...'Oh my god! Did I shut the bolts properly' Even though I did!

Chasing them around the cage with a cool damp towel for their ears because it so bloomin warm and you worry they might get uncomfortable with their little fur coats. Also moving furniture around so you can move their cage over to an open window.

My friends wheek for tea and coffee - they know they can get my attention if they do that!

And I have been known to rumble + wiggle in public - mine!

My OH tries to wheek as he says this is the only way to get any attention in our house - trouble is, he hasn't mastered the art of impersonating a guinea pig

Bwahaha I wheek sometimes but i havent rumbled yet! That is ace!

When you say you aren't a sewer, yet the sewing machine is out and purring away on their latest accessories using that lovely new fleece that was so much of a bargain, you couldn't afford not to! (Can't repair those curtains that the lining is hanging out of, though!)

I've been looking online for a sewing machine to make haybags with....

Yep, my birthday is coming up shortly so I asked my hubby for a sewing machine, the machine is brilliant, but all I have done is make Piggie blankets. My excuse is that I am practicing, I will repair my son's trousers shortly, honest
