You grow them their own mini lawn!

We are working on the garden this year so I used my propagator tray to plant some grass seed (brought a box from poundworld) and the pigs are so happy with it, though it now needs a pigless week or two to recover and grow back! Also it will help get their tummies used to grass so when we have our lawn they will be able to go in a run.

Jemima is just about visible (eating grass from behind Bumbles bum - a dangerous task I think)

They are lovely piggies. I grew grass in trays in the greenhouse, family think I've gone mad, glad I'm not the only one. I bring a tray indoors if weather not suitable to put Spike and Peanut out in the run for several days running.

My hubby dug up an area on our patio which has our extensive run over it and is attached to our shed . This has become the 6 boys summer residence. The area he dug up is right in middle of patio , took up the4 slabs and found 3 foot of concrete and hard-core! - took him all morning to dig it out, swearing and cursing me as the "crazy guinea pig woman !" - finally they have a lawn all of there very own, but weather still to unpredictable to move outside to it. ...... watch this space lol

A word of warning... my pigs had their own patch of grass in the bottom of their last hutch... it took them approximately one week to completely destroy the grass and it never grew back... the greedy lot :))

I love the mini-lawn! I would never have thought to do that. A great idea for those of us with indoor piggies who don't get access to an actual lawn.

My lot are slacking on their grass trimming duties. Last year, I didn't have to mow my lawn once, this year, whilst Alfie, Stella and Luna are settling in, they haven't been out as often as my old 3. They were left open all day and they let themselves on to the lawn. Plus I'm 2 rabbits down. I think my grass is growing faster than they can eat it as I've had the lawnmower out 4 times in the last 5 weeks! :))

They are utterly spoilt Kelly. A lovely thing to do. Issy looks so tiny compared to her friends :)
