Hiya :)

I am sooooooooooooooo excited! :smitten:

I came home from work to find that the woman next door to me had been round again saying that the little sow (that she had with the three dwarf rabbits!) is available again because the person who brought her returned her because they had decided to get a dog instead ( ::) ::)) Bit weird but hey one persons loss is anothers gain!

I popped in to see her and the woman let me have a hold and when the woman handled her she was a bit jumpy but I sat on the floor with her on my lap and she settled right down and even let me tickle her behind her ears! She is sssoooooo adorable.

I said to the woman that my cage is coming soon and I will be able to have her then hopefully the end of this week and she said she will hang on to her till then for me.

YAY! I am sooo excited! She's the one I really wanted... Is it fate? How odd! :smitten: :smitten:
Now I just need to find her a piggy friend.... :) :)

That's really good news, you must be so happy! I agree, it must be fate!

That's great - it just goes to show, if you want something badly enough, you just might get it! That happened with me and a dress.. boring story though, not as good as yours! Congratulations!

Thanks! :) I am on cloud nine. I am sooo excited. I am thinking of names for her. I might call her Piggle.

Oh yes - it's fate alright! :D :D Congrats, post piccies as soon as you pick her up for good...

Hi Nancy,

That's brilliant! :D I am really pleased for you! Piggle is a good name! Maybe register an interest in getting a Sow from a rescue centre near you so they will contact you when one comes in. You can then take 'Piggle' to meet her new pal!

Take care!

O0 Thats a very good idea! I will contact the rescues tomorrow (I am at home all day tomorrow so I can ring around) and try and see if they can let me know when and if they have one come in). I hope she will get on okay with someone new! I think she has only ever been with the dwarf rabbits - who were snuggled up together in the small cage and she was on her own... I think she must be lonely. Apparently she had a brother who has already been homed but obviously they were separated early.

I think I will definitely call her Piggle. The name has stuck on me, I think thats what she should be. :) :smitten:

Ah I think its a shame to seperate brothers and sisters but obviously they have to be because of the breeding problem. My 2 girls are sisters they are complete opposites in personality though. Fleur gets annoyed sometimes with Flora when she wants to snuggle up, she seems to go to her for reasurrance!

Yeah I think Piggle is great, you have to see the pig first to name them. Well off to play nurses with Emily my mum has just bought her a doctors kit so I'm now a 'guinea pig!'

;D ;D Good luck! When my daughter plays doctors and nurses with me she is always telling me she is going to have to cut my legs off! - Think she likes a bit of drama! ::)

LOL! My sons like to play 'accident and emergency room' with me as their victim, oh I mean patient ;) - I was in a dire state last time, my head had fallen off! :o

That is such great news :) so glad you are going to get the little girl you really wanted O0

Now you will appreciate her sooooo much more! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

I agree, its meant to be :smitten:

I have two three month old guineas (three months today to be exact) i got them as soon as they left mum from a breeder who is also a familly friend, But they still are VERY timid, and dont really like to be touched, Tho they will occasionally be in the mood for a quick cuddle. They are such gorgeous guineas, i wouldnt part with them, But i want to have a pet i can actually spend time with knowing they actually enjoy my company, I know they are still so you, and maybe it will change in time, Does anyone have any tips for me?

Also, i have another male guinea who is around 8 months old, He was very friendly at around 5 months, but has now got very skittish, and panicks when he is held in your hands. Hes not a biter or doesnt have any obviously behavioural problems, Could this be due to his ageing? late pubitiy perhapes? Or possibly the other guineas?

All comments thought about, Thank you for reading

Thats fabulous news...I agree, she was meant to be yours :smitten:

Thanks everyone... I think so too! It seems she was meant to come home with me!

I have just looked on the Zooplus website and it seems they have sent out my cage so hopefully it will come very soon and then I can pick her up! I don't want to leave her with the rabbits any longer than absolutely neccessary.

I am sure she will be shocked at all the room in the cage I am getting - her current cage is very small. It will be nice to see her exploring. :smitten:

Congratulations ;D she was meant to be with you.

I'm so happy for you 88)
