Ive just had a 4 mth approx old abbey boar in after a lady who owns a horse rescue phoned me up to say when she went into the stables this morning someone had dumped a guinea pig in there in a box with out any thing in no hay ect, poor thing is very trumatized but looks in good health,i cant understand why someone would do this it so maddens megrrrrgrrrr but at least it wasnt in a feild:(

It never ceases to amaze me where GP's get dumped. I guess the only positive is that he was put somewhere the previous owner felt he would be found. Here's hoping all goes well with him.

I do fear this may become a more common occurence if rescues are struggling and starting to turn people away. Not that I am in any way excusing it, there is no doubt how shocking it is, I just think we are going to hear more stories like this in the coming months.

i think it will be more common if the RSPCA turn animals away from next mth:(
he is so scared ive never seen a guinea this scared and ive had some scared ones in but he tops them all:( after his quarantine time i will try to pair him with another older boar -c-c here's fingers crossing.

Aww, so sad for the little man. How cruel. Well done to you Claire though for taking him in, I'm sure you'll sort him out and make him feel at home soon.

It never amazes me why people can't bother to ring up a rescue...
At least, this one was from somebody who cared for their pet enough to put him somewhere protected where he was guaranteed to be found.

Wishing your latest boy the best of luck with finding a new loving and permanent home soon!

I dread to think how bad it can get. Rabbits are let loose in fields or found wandering the streets all the time and I've had guinea pigs found under buckets on nature trails. I hope the RSPCA reconsider. :...
There are some heartless people out there who are not prepared to accept responsibility for their pets. pow-pow
