So some of you will know, I recently took in marmalade, she's 12 weeks old. She's not drinking from her bottle, so left a bowl of water instead...still wasn't convinced she isn't drinking so I gave her syringe of water tonight, she's not taking that but am forcing her too by putting into her mouth and trying to massage it down. Clearly I am being gentle as have done syringe feeding and meds etc before... I am giving her cucumber to ensure she gets enough watery veg.
:{
I know when she's able to join her new family she'll latch onto the idea of drinking but is there anything else I should be doing?:(

Considering her age she's a quiet piggy. she's it's quietly in my lap each night whilst I do my part in ensuring she's use to us hoomins.

Thanks in advance.

Some piggies don't drink full stop, if she is eating well and eating cucumber and other watery veg I wouldn't worry too much

My 2 boys hardly drink at all. On one occasion I withheld their breakfast (wet food) until the afternoon just to see if they knew how their water bottle worked - they did, their wet food must just contain all of the water they need. The amount of pee that comes out of them suggests that they are definitely not dehydrated!

Thanks guys.

That's put my mind at rest, tonight she has actually taken quite a bit of water from the syringe, so at least with that and veg she'll be ok.

Appreciate it.
