Ever since I got the little white fur ball, she's wanted to be boss.. from 7 weeks, she's been a tough little legs, not allowing the big girls to boss her about.. Liquorice has been the cage boss since Fudge passed away at Easter, and has been a dominant female since a year old (she's 16mths now)..
She's pretty much a bossy pig herself, and puts BonBon in her Place regularly.. There are days when I find the 3 of them (Treacle being the submissive one) fast asleep together in the house..
Then there's today, where I had Treacle out with BonBon, on the settee with me.. I then put Treacle back and went out into the garden with BonBon.. when I fetched her back in and put her back.. all hell broke loose.. One very jealous Liquorice had a major fall out with the little furball, and had a kafuffle.. both stood their ground, ruffed up, squaring up to each other..
I know BonBon wants leadership, and it's only a matter of time before world war 3 breaks out.. once Liquorice backs down, things will be back to normal, but I doubt very much that she'll go quietly..
She also has a strong personality, though if a sudden noise was to happen, she's the one who to hits the floor running (off the sofa) and hides behind the boys cage.. she then turns into a nervous wreck for anything up to half an hour, I think it's described as blind terror?
Most of the time though, she's bossy, but loving, and trusts me 100%, and loves nothing more than cuddling up, underneath a jumper..

I am always very careful to observe the hierarchy when cuddling, feeding etc. in order to prevent problems, especially with very dominant sows.

Liquorice sounds quite a character! My top sow in the tribe is one of the smaller piggies as well.

I find all Abyssinians have similar lively quirks:)) everyone I've had have been crazy LOL!
