Hello everyone

I'm hoping to get a guniea pig at the at the weekend and I want to in to it with as much information as I can. I have been looking at pets at home food and they seem to only have adult nuggets so my question is at what age do I put them on adult nuggets and what do I give them before?

Thanl you for taking the time to read my post :)

Hey,
Give your guinea pigs lots of fruit & veggies and hay. I also give my guinea pigs this dried up grass with seeds in it you get it from any pet shop and they love it!
good luck :D

Hi there. Welcome to the forum. Guinea pigs under six months can have unlimited pellets. The best pellets are these two as they are grainless and sugar free,

These are the only recommended pellets for guinea pigs by somebody whom has lots of knowledge in guinea pigs. @helen105281 is her name. I feed mine the second pellets as they did not like the first unfortunately.

As you have not got your guinea pigs yet I urge you to adopt from a rescue. By going to a rescue you will ensure the guinea pigs are correctly sexed, not pregnant, healthy and vet checked and you can adopt an already bonded pair. There are so many guinea pigs in rescue that desperately need homes. By adopting you can free up space for the rescue to help another pair of guinea pigs. This rescue locater will tell you where your nearest rescue is,

Do you need any advice on cages or anything else? A cage has to be the minimum of 60 cm by 140 cm and only two ready made cages meet this. Many guinea pig owners prefer c and c cages as they can be made any cage you like. This link will show you examples of people's cages,

Please feel free to ask any questions.
