I got my boars at 8 weeks old from a private rescue, i dont think its considered too young.....they need good quality pellets and fresh veggies but nothing particularly special i dont think x

They will grow up nicely on a normal adult diet! You can give them unlimited pellets until their weekly growth rate is slowing down between 4-6 months old. Then you reduce the daily amount very gradually to the half to handful that fully mature piggies need from about 15 months onwards. As most pellets contain alfalfa, this covers the small extra need in calcium and protein.

This thread here gives you the amounts of a balanced diet as well as what veg you can feed. Please include one high vitamin C veg in your mix every day, be it a slice of pepper of any colour, a sprig of coriander/cilantro, parsley, dill, mint or basil or a floret or chunk of stem of broccoli; vary between these. You may find it useful to introduce as wide a variety of veg and herbs to prevent them from becoming too particular in what they are eating. Do not introduce more than one new veg at once. Feed fruit and tomato no more than twice weekly; too much too often can cause painful sores on the lips and in the mouth.

I have currently got three 9 week old foster girls and they are not getting anything special apart from a good balanced diet as recommended; they are doing perfectly fine, as did my previous surprise baby! ;)
