Wow, tough question nattyone! I only have two to decide between, I'm not sure how the people with tribes will cope :))

I have to say I love both my boys equally, they both provide me with entertainment and I honestly couldn't pick a favourite...however, I usually get Frankie out first for cuddle time mainly because he is easier to get than Benny. He is also a bit smarter and does the 'circle' trick when asked (well, as long as he knows he'll get a treat afterwards).

When we bought them (yes, bought, it was before I was really aware of the amount of rescue animals needing homes) I chose Frankie because he was an Abyssinian, we had an Abyssinian when I was a kid and always wanted another. My husband chose Benny because he thought he was good looking. So I guess I do have a soft spot for Frankie but I love them both.

Sorry, that was rubbish, doesn't answer your question at all!

I love all my piggies to bits for all their different personalities and wouldn't want to be with any of them, but two have stood out and have left a very big hole in my heart.

One was Minx who certainly lived up to her name! She was my first adult piggy and more like a mini dog that followed me everywhere around the house and garden.

The other was Fflur of the funny faces and the sweet personality, a four year old lady who sadly stayed with us for only seven weeks, but had the time of her life and made a big impact on us all. She didn't wake up from her ovarian cyst operation a month ago which came as such a shock.

Ffion and Briallen have joined me since.

I only have 2 so it would be unfair to decide, they both have their endearing qualities and I love them both soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much! x):rose^):a19:x>>

Lol it was a wicked question , but I couldn't figure out how else to ask , I've never had lots of piggies at once so I don't know how there temperement vary . I have 2 White adults , pearly and snowy pearly and I seem to get on better , that is to say she notices that I exist and comes to say hello wen I walk in the room . Snowy doesn't . She just looks vacant lol

Wiggy my sheltie pig seemed to like me the most we used to watch to together and I'd spend hours brushing his hair and he would sit nibling his veggies while I did it , he was always good when I did his hair and didn't try to run away when we watched tv . I miss wiggy.

I don't think my puggys like to be picked up at all which is a bit depressing . Do other peoples ? Or is it a species thing.

Even though Hoggle screams when I am trying to catch him, he is the most relaxed during cuddles. Ludo nips when he doesn't want a hug so it is down to their pigsonalities, Ludo is a shy guy. :(|)

Hmmm well i tried to think who was my favourite but my pigs would kill me if they knew i was choosing lol so I'm going to say that all 22 of my boys are equally special, if i did have to pick a favourite it would be my piggy who has passed over named Boris, his story is way to long so if your interested check the first few threads i made.
Basically the whole time i had him was with him sick and recovering from an injury but it just made us that much closer xx

Many piggies do not particularly like the process of being picked up - it has to do with their instincts as prey animals. However, amny will like being cuddled and fussed over once they have got used to it.

The more attention you give them, the more they will come out of their shell.

Many have indoor runs where the piggies can play round daily. My own tribe is allowed to roam the living room as long as I am here - which is pretty much all day as I work from home. They have their own corners and no access to cables, so we do have comparatively few accidents.

My piggies all have their own unique personalities making it really hard to choose a favourite!

I think that it's easy to not have a favourite, but I think most agree that your first pig has a special place in your heart.

I agree with the first pig bit, I have had guinea pigs all my life however Freddie was my first personal pig I got when I had moved out. He is still the life of our home and I will always feel a special affinity with him (even if he does prefer snuggles with the other half more than me!)

aaw this is a nice topic.

I dont have a favourite. iv only got/had two.

i love them both for their different personalities...

Craig is a little chunky fella, he walks around all manly rumble strutting all the time but as soon as you pick him up he sits having a stroke and clucking like a chicken. When i put some food in the cage he is always first out of the hidey sniffing up in the air, even if i dont put food in hes first out sniffing in the air. Hes always eating lol. Hes very gentle and likes to have a cuddle. he will sit there for hours being cuddled and stroked. he wiggles his bum when he walks and i love it.

David is a smaller than craig and hes a little bit more mischeivous. David really loves parsley he runs after my fingers when I'm picking up poop out of the cage and he nibbles my fingers thinking its parsley. He eats parsley out of my hand and the first thing he eats out of the food bowl is .... parsley.. this is my little nickname for him - the parsley monster. David wont sit still when you are stroking him he likes to be on the move and he does bite and it hurts haha. Hes a bit of an adventurer david likes to see the world. David loves my boyfriend elliot and he will curl up in a little ball on elliot and have a rest he also doesnt bite elliot lol.

I can't pick my fave, as has already been said, each has its own special personality.
Flash is my first piggy, although hes got attitude! he hates being picked up, and being stroked and even just touched, but he's quite happy to have a little conversation with me, and to take food from my hand or climb up onto my lap if i have veg.
Nacho is the extreme opposite, he loves being picked up and stroked and never runs away, he follows me around and gets under my feet (hes always trying to sniff them!)
The rest of the gang are in between the two, all different, with different qualities :)) :))
