I was thinking about some of my habits yesterday and it occurred to me this morning how outraged my piggies would be.

For example, I can't eat uncooked veg because I can't stand the texture of raw veggies (I blame a mother who liked to cook everything an extra 15 mins "to be safe") there was a lot of dry meat and mushy veg in my childhood :)) plus it was all tinned veg to keep it cheap and lasting a long time).

I think my pigs would find it very controversial that I turn my nose up at crunchy veg.

So who else?

Well I just love butternut squash, I buy one at least every couple of weeks, and I wish the piggies liked it too... but they hate it! All 8 of them utterly despise squash, won't even have a nibble, if I offer them a piece and they accidentally take it from my hand they drop it instantly then stamp on it and snort at me and give me the pig eye!

They can’t understand why I like strawberries. Apparently they’re out to get them! When I offer they generally turn and (almost) run away. That’s right, not just a slow walk but a backup and hide 🤦🏾‍♀️
The thing they’d find even more controversial is the fact I don’t eat my own poop 🤪...Hope no one finds that offensive

I’d have to agree with the strawberries one @Siikibam!
I had some strawberries a couple of weeks ago and cut off a thin slice for each other piggies. Offered it to them by hand - they sniffed and literally recoiled. I thought ok, it’s new, you don’t get fruit usually, I’ll put it down on the floor and give it a little while. Popped back in to them 10 minutes later to find the piggies not only hadn’t eaten the strawberry but were avoiding walking near it. It was incredibly odd to see, but I feel better knowing that my two aren’t the only ones who have not only a dislike but a fear of strawberries! They would also like to add courgette to the list of ‘highly likely to attack us’ food items that the human deems acceptable to eat!

My main herd mostly hate strawberries too, they arent a fan of fruit at all except a bit of watermelon rind, but Ollie and Tallulah love fruit- strawberries, blueberries, melon, apple! Piggle despises all fruits, when her friends have watermelon I have to give her cucumber instead.
Luckily we all agree on courgette, none of us like it at all :)

mine will eat the strawberry green tops. but not the fruit. Lollie likes green pepper and grapes, lulu doesnt. they both like cantelope and carrots
they would both be appalled that i dont like lettuce.

Which lettuce or all of them?

Mine would be horrified at the fact I cannot stand coriander but love basil.
They will go through a pack of coriander in no time but when I tried them with a fresh basil leaf each they all turned away.
Priscilla went into reverse fast

so i just learned from this site that coriander is cilantro. theres a gene some people have that causes cilantro to taste like soap to them.

Why Does Cilantro Taste Like Soap to Some People?

I, uh...don't like blueberries :)) or spinach, or lettuce, or cucumber lol.

It's the smell of coriander I can't stand, but it tastes fine to me.

I don't like the smell or the taste!

Tesco used to sell these ready-to-eat prawns with a coriander and chilli dressing and I bought them one day without realising the coriander was there (great reading skills right there). Well, I had them, so I might as well try them...damn, they were good. And you couldn't smell the coriander over the chilli, so that wasn't a problem either.

I don't particularly like parsley but my boys love it! It's hoovered up in a few seconds 🤣🤣 If they could have it more than their weekly allowance they'd eat the whole plant 🤣🤣🤣 I think it depends how it's cooked through. Sometimes it's fine and other times its gross! I like parsley sauce though. I'm so wierd :)):))

My favourite nephew and his favourite piggy Piggle have perfectly aligned tastes, they both hate all fruit but love all salad items except tomatoes! They both had coriander, rocket and cucumber salad for dinner (Piggle also had pellets and hay, her little hooman friend also had a veggie burger :) )

Well, I eat ribs occasionally, so that'd shock them. I heard them wheeking for what I was eating and had to say, "You wouldn't want this if you knew it was meat." o_o
