Zithromax - Open Life?

Just saw something on another forum saying that you can only use Zithromax once mixed and open for 10 days? Is this true? Daisy's bottle has been open for 11 days now, does this mean it's no longer any good?
 
Simon has been prescribing Zithromax for many years now, and he used to split the powder into three bottles so they could be made up as needed. He is now of the opinion that it keeps for about two weeks. You should be fine with 11 day old Zithromax, but I wouldn't use after a couple of weeks.
 
I don't let the chemist add the water to the Zithromax powder. I divide it into three and mix another after the first one is used up.
