Adult Guinea Pig
watching at them might make you fall to sleep...Fantastic photos! Soooooo lovely and sooooo cosy![]()
unfortunately they are not relaxed at all when I want to catch them from their cage... and even when it is time to go back to the cage is a difficult story sometimes... Calipso understands and goes under the table... wait for me there... I arrive and she goes towards the centre of the kitchen and wait for me there... and repeat!I love that second photo. Absolutely precious. Your piggies are so lucky to have a wonderful home they can feel so relaxed in.
I need to go INTO the cage, remove the "loft" (it is only a bread-box put on a plastic house-box...) and start the game! They are so silly! because as soon as I am able to catch them they relax themselves on my arms... why don't they remember how fine they feel when I cuddle them? their prey instinct is so strong to overcome...Meg is the same. If she is in the bottom of the hutch she scoots up the ramp and waits then when I get to the top of the ramp when she scoots down to the bottom. We all love a game of catch me if you can! It makes it so much more fun!
thank you! and yes, the lady of the rescue has trust in me and is glad of this happy end. She runs this little familiar rescue (no headquarter, rabbits and piggies hosted into the volunteers' homes) with very strict rules just for protecting these pets. She looks a bit "excessive" sometimes considering what I often read on her fb account...I should think the rescue would be very pleased with your photo's it shows how tame and comfortable they are and don't feel any threat being sleepy like that.
Fabulous.
and I must resist....you are right... it is very difficult to resist! but I have no room enough... and a vet bill for three piggies might be too much for me...Oh, I would struggle not to jump in the car and go and get them!
Oh I envy your self control xyou are right... it is very difficult to resist! but I have no room enough... and a vet bill for three piggies might be too much for me...
they love my new Ikea sofa... and despite the thick layer of the towels I put underneath, they are able to find the little exposed spot for weeing just directly on the fabric of the sofa... leaving the towels clean for sleeping! What a couple of chilled out piggies! They must feel very comfortable and safe around you x

and as I am very smart,Of course they want clean towels for sleeping! Obviously they don't want to sleep on wee wet towels! How very sensible!
I cover part of the back cushion of course so that they should climb for weeing on the sofa... In fact when I am here next to them they don't climb and PRETEND to sleep. Therefore I can go to the kitchen for one minute... and when I come back, guess what?

ever!and Calipso needs to be caught with a very fast gesture! because if you approach her slowly she jumps in the air like a mad fish and "bites" you! Today she couldn't stand Calliope sleeping on her cheek turned on her side... Calipso wanted poor Calliope to be turned on the other side!I love your guinea pigs!
Jingle loathes being caught but will sit and munch yummy lettuce. Mistletoe loathes being caught and wont eat, just waits to be out back into her nice cage!

it was only a miracle... and the night before they quarreled until 2a.m! biting, rumbling and chasing each others because one was in heat and the other one did not want to respect her dominance...What lovely photos, your piggies are gorgeous.I wish mine would relax like that lol
