...thermometer for the girls summer house. it will connect to my phone so i can monitor the temperature, should i buy one for inside the hutch or buy two, one for inside the hutch and one for the actual summer house. wasn’t sure if just the one in the hutch would be okay as this will be the temp...
Hello 👋
I’ve brought a new living space for the pigs. The hutch is over 6ft and has 2 floors. The other one was getting worn and dangerous so it was much needed. They have only been in there for just over 24 hours.
*I keep hutches indoors with plenty of additional roaming space. This is just...
Hi all, I know this question has been asked a lot.
I was looking for opinions on the 2 hutches we have been looking at. We are looking at the chartwell double height (which they currently have) with separate run or a Kendal with run. With either they both have a ramp which our piggies hate so...
hiya all, just wondering if i can make a hutch ‘cover’ myself out of thermal backing? would it be okay to just do the sides or will the back and top need doing too? any advice is welcome! will it be okay to leave on all year round too? thanks!
Hi everyone
We bought our 2x bonded males (almost 1yr old) a new 2 story hutch yesterday in the hope of giving them more room, however it would seem they are quite scared of the ramp and haven't ventured down yet.

So It would still be considered minimum size for a boar/sow pair.
Double floor doesn’t double the space.
I have to agree - getting a 5ft hutch or move them inside into a 4x2 (150x70cm) c&c cage is probably going to be the quickest way to get her a new friend.
Alternatively you are just going to have to wait for one to come up online or for adoption at pets at home. The issue still remains that a...
Yeah I think she did. I think she struggles to get up and down the ramp in the hutch a little though as it a double floor hutch and the ramp is wooden but she manages 😀
Hello
I have a large outdoor hutch (that will be moved into a shed in the very cold weather), which I have just lined with self adhesive Lino flooring. I’m just wondering what to put on top of this for warmth and comfort- fleece or vet bed ?
Are both okay for outside ?
And over the whole...
The best and recommended reading to go by is in the middle of a room - around 5 feet off the floor so go by the one on top of the hutch.
Ground is always going to be colder and ceiling is always going to be hotter.
I would remove the floor and shelf thermometers and just use the one on the hutch...
