Teenage Guinea Pig
Can a 13 week old get stuck in the c&c grids or is it tinier babies that can?
I don’t know if she’s tiny for her age or not because I’ve never had one so young. She looks teeny to me! She’s so cuteI've had 12-16 week piggies that haven't been a problem but I would say it depends on the size of the individual piggy and in particular it's head. Some tiny babies can walk through the grids!
You wouldn’t even have known she was in the carrier it was so light! She’s in the bonding pen with Perry our senior boar at the moment and I just had a panic about the grids! They do don't they. Picking a little one up is such a shock too after years of picking large adult boars up, so delicate and squirmy.
Do I need to do that if the cage has correx?Might be a good idea if they are getting on well. You can cable tie some cardboard to the grids so she can't stick her head through.
No name yetGorgeous colours and markings I love piggies with stripes up their faces. She is adorable, has she got a name yet.
I don’t think I took photos. Cut strips of cardboard about 3 - 4 inches deep and then poke a hole through and either use string or cable ties to secure periodically to the grids. If it’s up against a wall that side should be safe anyway.Does anyone have a picture of how to baby proof? Really annoying I’ve overlooked this!
That should be - just don’t put houses right up to the edgesMy correx in the cage is 6 inches high. Is that enough?
That will be fineActually I think it’s 6 inches from outside but 5 inches inside because of the bedding.
