I bet he is happier with a little friend :smitten:

They really do look like brothers :o

It's going very well at this end I popped out to P@H to buy a bigger cage I put Tommy back in his old cage and Sparky his travel box and Tommy was looking anxiiously for him and knawing on his bars to come out. I have popped them into their new cage and despite ensuring that I have two pigloos they seem to be quite happily sharing 1.

Tommy has never shut up since I got them home.

That's excellent! I was seriously considering Sparky for my Sheltie but want to make sure there is no way back for us with the bonding! He is a lovely pig and I'm chuffed that Tommie lis enjoying his new friend!

Can't wait to hear the updates!

Glad its all going well.
I couldnt belive it when Tommie was afraid of micky Brian and Geordie yet when he met Sparky he just melted and they both settled down to eat veggies ::)

Yes that was so odd I was like eh? ? The really wierd thing was that up until meeting Sparky I had a real job to get him to eat in his cage and since meeting Sparky he's never stopped stuffing his face! Tommy seems to adore Sparky, when Sparky comes out of his Pigloo Tommy follows and if I seperate them because I am going out Tommy is beside himself, its the same if I take Sparky out the cage Tommie goes nuts.

I checked in the Pigloo before and they were really content and curled up together.

Sparky has made it clear that he's the boss and Tommie is more than happy to go along with it.

Such strange creatures eh? ;D

Tommie decided, despite having his own bowl of veggies to pinch Sparkies and he didn't seem too bothererd. One thing that I have notice is that Tommie sometimes nibbles Sparkies ears, Sparky doesn't seem too bothered by it just shakes his head and walks away but, is it anything I should be concerned with?

Yep things are still going well, I was going to seperate them over night but given how well they are getting on and how anxious they are when seperated I am going to leave them together but close enough so that I can hear them if theres a bust up 666).

It was certainly worth the stress of getting over to Alston seeing how happy they both are and having a wonderful new pet as well :). I left my house at 9.45am and it took me till 10.35am to get out the town I was :tickedoff: at the wheel. The whole town was rammed with cars! Then I had need to visit the petrol station and it's one of those self service ones which kindly broke down when I tried to put fuel in my car meaning that I had to leave, drive round the block back to the petrol station and then queue all over again for a different pump. I was somewhat miffed when I spoke to the attendent to explain the problem and I was spoke to very patronisingly like I had never used a petrol pump before >:( it was only when he saw for his self that the petrol wasn't actualy going in my care that he believed me!

But, it was all worth it in the end Tommy has a new friend, Sparky has a forever home and I have another delighttful piggy! :)

Sounds like they are going to be great mates, glad its all gone well with them both.

Its been a settled and fight free night here I have just fed my boys and they are both up and about enjoying breakfast! I am so pleased that its working out well for them-I am fairly confident now that all will be well I need to pop out to the supermarket and really don't want to leave them together while I am out but, given the fact that they both become upset when seperated I don't wish to seperate them either.

I risked it, thought I would be be only an hour but, the pet shop I went to visit which is advertised on several websites has shut and quite a long time ago I am guessing. So ended going to p@h.

Was out for nearly three hours and felt worried for leaving them long, dashed back trying not to speed (I think I may well be the first person to say "sorry officer I am dashing back cos my guineas may of had a fight 666) and thinking "oh crumbs, should I off left them" 98) and feeling like the most irrisponsible pet owner going.

Came home to two perfectly happy guineas who are as I speak enjoying the treats I have bought them what a pair of angels 0:)

I think the friendship is now confirmed. I let them out in the hallway for a run this morning and went to check them. I found them both lying under the telephone table, Sparky on his side and Tommy draped over him :smitten: :smitten: They are both now playing in the living room and following each other everywhere.

So happy for them both! :)
