A New Buddy for King Edward Potato

Thankyou, yes, going very well! They were sitting next to each other this morning and have been mooching about like old pals. I am planning on moving them into the piggy shed later on. Hopefully the proximity of the other pigs won't bother them x
 
So I have deep cleaned their new pad in the shed, made it all nice for them, scattered some of the soiled hay from their bonding pen around and moved them in!
They travelled the short distance via cat carrier, which is what King Edward is use to doing when going in and out of a run. I just popped it in the bonding pen and in went K.E followed by Star, once in the shed I opened it up and out popped K.E again followed by Star. They quickly checked things out and settled down to munching hay. Wouldn't it be lovely if things were always this straight forward!

Now all I have to do is clean the sitting room🤣

Sunday is weighing in day in my household. When Star arrived at Merrypigs rescue he was a little under weight so was being given a few oats as well as nuggets to help build him up. I have continued with this and am pleased to say that after initially losing some weight (not surprisingly following a change of residence and then the bonding process), today he has regained the loss and his weight up a little on top of that too and he is looking great! King Edward has also being enjoying the oats and nuggets, which he doesn't usually get, so of course has gained weight too lol but is not as big as he was in his prime.

He came to me on 22.9.22 Today, the 2.10.22 he is 980g😁 Would be nice to see him get up to 1kg🙂

Thank you. I am glad the boys have made your day :luv: They are getting along great. And yes Star was up another 30g this Sunday weighing in at 1.010kg :)
 
Some of you may have seen this thread about the loss of Little Starman
Little Starman has been to the vets 😥
Since then King Edward has been living on his own but able to see and hear other piggies. Sadly another of my boars, Pendragon, has also lost his buddy, to lymphoma and has had a little time on his own to adjust. The time has come to see if they want to be friends and live together. Pendragon is five and was the under pig in his previous bond, King Edward is coming up to seven and has been top pig in both his previous bonds so I am homing this will be a good match.
