Why do I even look at GPs when I go to pet stores? rolleyes
I've been wanting more piggies for a while - I just love ours and think I could give a really good home to some more guineas, as ours are completely spoilt. We said we would wait until we got a bigger house (they are indoor pigs), and I said the next guineas would come from a rescue. Our 2 boars came from the adoption centre in P@H.
However, I just came back from going to get some supplies at P@H and fell in love with a lone boar in the adoption centre. His name is Wig, he's 2.5 years old, and he is there because his family moved house (off topic: I obviously don't know their situation, but I'd never move if my guineas couldn't come!) - He's bigger than our Fudge, and he's a giant piggy
We do have a spare cage, but it's not big enough for 2 pigs. Obviously he would definitely need to be paired up, but the earliest that would be possible is start of September as we'd also need to buy a much bigger cage. In the meantime, I could place him near our boars for company, or put him in the run for floortime and let our 2 boys run outside the run (they have the run of the lounge for floortime) so that they see each other.
I know this is a really silly thought, but I can't help feeling either that the piggy must be really sad that his family had him for 2.5 years then left him in a strange place and that he had to leave his home. I know, I know - I'm reading waaaay too much into this rolleyes
