So glad you got him, we were waiting at opening time when we adopted one of our hamsters from the adoption centre too. He is beautiful, I love his markings and the others are gorgeous too.

Thanks everyone!

I'm very surprised at how well he's settled in! I decided to work from home today as it's his first day with us. I keep checking in on him every now and again and he's in various sleeping positions with his legs up in the air :))

Aawww so glad to see you got him :) he is so bootiful and he looks such a happy chappy too x)

Small update!

He settled into his cage really quickly; he seems a lot like our guinea Fudge: very laid back, eats quickly and is a lazy bones - but doesn't really like to be held or stroked a lot (but I suppose that's understandable under the circumstances)

Since he coped so well with the move, we decided to set up our guinea run in the lounge (one of those collapsable 6 'gate' ones) as we want him to get as much floortime as possible - his cage is alright for 1 guinea pig, but it's smaller than I'd like for him; he'll definitely get a new one in Sept along with a new friend. He seems like he's really enjoyed his time in the run - we set up a few toys for him and he's been exploring, chutting, wheeking, etc. He's such a lovely, funny little piggy. He's been lazing about for the last 30min.

We've had some great photos of him, which I'll put up just as soon as I've uploaded them!

Also, we felt that the name 'Wig' didn't really suit him. I feel a bit bad that it's been his name for the last 2.5yrs, but we've decided to rename him to Winston :) Or as I like to give a full title to the gins, Colonel Winston Wiggsalot :))
