A Normal Shopping Trip

Zucchini is courgette @Gem789

Maybe we should have a list of all the different names foods are called as we are an international community.

I think it’s great that we are getting new ideas about food for piggies as we share their likes and dislikes.
I agree, it’s great to get ideas of possible new foods our pigs might eat.I tried courgette with some of my rainbow bridge piggies but none of them liked it x

Tried mine on Pak Choi for the first time tonight. The leaves went quicker than the stalks! I'll find out in the morning if the stalks have disappeared when I give them their breakfast pellets and get them out of the hutch and into the run for the day.
See what you mean about the stalks, mine got left too. They did like the leaves though.

Interesting- so I can blame my genes for loathing coriander.
Wonder if that’s why I detest rocket too.

I like sprouts, especially mashed with butter.
It was the only way my mother could get us to eat them.

I never have fresh veg in for me- mine all comes from the freezer. The fridge is always full of stuff for the pigs and I feel guilty when I have to pinch a bit!
Our hospital where I work has a fruit and veg stall which I go to at the end of the day to get all the reduced stuff - it' a good job my lot aren't snobs XD

Me too I always get frozen for me & fresh for them. But I get them all the posh stuff like chicory & baby corn!

Lee says you don't see aubergine on many food lists, because it can be poisonous. He put me off of it.

Really? Mine love aubergine and have been eating it on and off for about a year. They are fine. They don't get much though only 1 or 2 thick slices chopped up between 5 of them. It's Meg's favourite!

Is that a bit like the stalks of peppers? I've always fed them to mine, and they scoff them, but someone said yesterday that they are poisonous? Mine love most things - they leave the celery in the morning, but it's always gone by the time I come home, and they hate courgette....they and I all love coriander.
