Junior Guinea Pig
I was at the vets yesterday with a friend because I was giving her a lift, she was taking her new kitten to be checked over,
While we were waiting a guy came in with a cardboard box so as you do I evesdropped a little ") . It turned out that his neighbours had done a flit in the night and a few days later he heard a squeaking and found out they had left a guinea pig behind and the guy could not look after her as they had other pets ect.
The vet said they would take it in but I was worried that they might just put him/her down as they had nowhere to take her. So I spoke to the receptionist, (she was lovely
) left my number and told them if she needed somewhere to go then to call me.
Got a call that afternoon and she's not too well, very thin, blood in her wee, mites and looked like she'd been left for a long time, apparently the only thing in her hutch was a tiny bit of hay in the corner 8...
BUT She's eating really well and very friendly so I'm hoping after a bit of love and attention and good food she will pick up, the vets said they will keep her in til friday to be on the safe side and if alls well, I'll go and get her then
I did go and have a peep later on as I popped back to get something and she is scruffy but lovely, long haired (she's had a haircut because she was mucky) and a lovely little face.
I'm looking forward to bringing her home but don't want to get my hopes up too high just in case :...
