I use a large syringe with a needle attached. It makes flushing so much easier and more directable. You don't put the needle into the hole, but hold it away from the abscess and direct the flow into the opening.

We do what we have to for our little fluffy potatoes. I'll have to put my life on hold tomorrow as I have just noticed that Dennis has a cloudy eye that wasn't there this morning at 10.30 when he went out on the grass. I'll be phoning the vet 1st thing. I can't take him to the emergency vet now as I it's nearly my bed time and I may have just finished the wine box!
