is the following pic abuse

I can’t tell what’s going on in the picture. It looks like two guineapigs being pulled around in a toy train or car. If so, I don’t know that I would call it abuse but it’s definitely not enjoyable for the guineapigs. They are most likely very stressed and confused.
I reckon the same. The owner probably thinks they are enjoying it as they are still. What they don't realise is why the piggies are still. They have gone into 'freeze mode' cos they are frightened. This is a basic survival instinct of a prey animal.

Hi, I have merged your duplicate threads so all replies will be in one place for you. Generally speaking I don't like seeing piggys forced to any human toys though this is better than the motorbike and car scenarios that I have seen as those videos tend to show piggies being placed in unnatural seating positions. If the truck/train had been still and the piggies decided to jump up there themselves I would have no problems with it. If they have been placed there and forced to ensure it for human entertainment then that would be something I couldn't agree with

I agree 100% with @Betsy and @Lady Kelly !
Guinea Pigs are prey animals so probably rigid with fear.
Also they are not extensions to people’s toys to used to amuse oneself!

Hi. On this forum we are passionate about the health, well-being and happiness of guinea pigs. So in your photo I'm afraid I'm not comfortable with what I see. I think the 2 guinea pigs will most likely be scared to be pulled around on a toy truck. It's definitely not something to be recommended. They are wonderful little animals who are very entertaining in their own right. Xx

Agreed!

Is this photo of your own piggies @walnutandpeanut? If so please stop treating them this way. If this is not your own photo but you have taken it of someone else’s piggies please direct the owners to this forum as they need to learn that guinea pigs are not playthings. Guinea pigs have delicate skeletons and can very easily be injured. They may be still but that would be because they are frozen in fear. I very much doubt that they climbed onto the truck voluntarily. They would NOT have been enjoying the experience.

note : this was not me this was my 6 year old sister and I'm showing that its not right to do this

Please be aware that your sister should not be handling the pigs without adult supervision at such a young age. There is far too much risk of injury from mishandling. I think it would be wise to speak to your parents about setting ground rules for the guinea pigs to ensure their safety going forwards

There are lots of things children can to to help with the life and happiness of guinea pigs e.g... choosing their veggies, feeding them their veggies & pellets, giving them hay, cleaning them out, watching them interact etc...Adults can handle them showing the child how to cuddle them properly so their little bodies are fully supported. My guinea pigs live indoors, some are outdoor piggies. Where do yours live?
