Hi guys!
Recently my piggie baby was having her floor time and I found out that she accidentally ate a piece or sweet which was human food. It was a small bit but i am highly concerned.
I always take care of the floor’s cleanliness and I don’t know how I missed that small piece.
What can I do ensure she is fine?
I am worried😓😓

Hi,

I’m sure she will be fine, but just keep an eye on her. They have pretty efficient/robust digestive systems and can cope with the occasional mishap. My vet reassured me of this when one of mine ate plastic, and one ate a considerable amount of my T-shirt! 🙈😂

If she shows any changes in normal behaviour or appetite, have her a vet checked.

But just keep an eye on her for now. I’m sure all will be fine :)

:agr:
Piggies are well known for nibbling on things they shouldn't and are usually fine.
Just make sure she has access to hay and water 24/7, and watch her poop output for a few days, but I am sure a small piece of sweet won't cause any issues.

I'm sorry you're worried, I have no idea but I had a piggy a few years ago get some chocolate mousse which he shouldn't have had, and there seemed to be no ill effects to him. Hopefully the same with your girl.
