ChloeThePiggy
Junior Guinea Pig
Hey guys,
I’m new to this so I’m hoping to get some really good advice. I just recently got Mrs. Chloe on April 26tb 2018. I got her from a breeder. She is a young Guinea pig just by the way she looks and her size. The day after I got her, I started to see her right eye shrinking. Since I’ve never have a piggy before I didn’t pay any mind to it. After the days went by it got worse and worse and a lesion formed in her mouth I took her to the vet 4 days after I got her and the vet said that she had conjunctivitis and a fungal infection. After 3 days of giving her medication I started seeing nasal drip and white discharge from her bum. I called my vet and he said this is very concerning and to bring her in ASAP. I'm torn to shreds considering she is a new piggy and a baby. To see her suffer is such a heart breaker. I wanted to ask you guys if you think she will recuperate considering I’m catching all the signs early. I’m afraid she will die. I could attach photos of her for you guys to see her. She looks very normal and her eye and lip got so much better. However it’s the nasal drip and the white discharge that scares me.
