I have a Midwest habitat and there's a few stains and I'm wondering what's the best way to remove the stains or reduce them. Any help is appreciated!
What do you usually use to scrub? I use paper towels but should I use a cloth or a sponge? You can try soaking it with some white vinegar, I’m not sure whether it’ll ever come entirely off though.
Regarding reducing them - that would come down to the type of bedding and protective under layer you currently use

looks like we have the same issue, haven't tried the vinegar method yet but I now made a 50/50 solution and will try it out todayI was wondering this also, mine have some stains. I wonder if I put the canvas in a pet laundry bag to wash it if it would help...
I have a midwest cage as well so it's fine to put the canvas in the washer?I have a Midwest cage for my foster piggies. I just pop the canvas part into the wash with a tiny bit of clear, sensitive laundry detergent. I run it on "waterproof" as it isn't a regular fabric. I have washed it with a load of towels on occasion too. I do have one stain that will just not come out, but it came to me that way. I agree with @Piggies&buns that lining the cage with coreplast would be best to keep away stains.
Yes, I have washed the canvas. I don't do it very often as the waterproof backing on it (the shiner side) starts to crack. A gentle cycle would be best to wash it in or a waterproof cycle. A piece of coreplast on the bottom should help keep the staining down. I use fleece liners for my piggies so I don't have a problem with staining.I have a midwest cage as well so it's fine to put the canvas in the washer?
