Well as long as you have a proper carrier or a box that they'll be able to have fresh water and food for the whole trip.
Many people on this forum do what's called a piggie train........ they'll get a rescue piggie from say north literally miles and miles down south to their new owner :)
Post a thread and ask some advice, i've only ever rescued piggies and had them in the car for about 1 - 1 1/2hrs....... i couldn't help with the water side of it, so i had cucumber, cos lettuce, canteloupe, but then carrots etc.. for them i had i think 9 piggies if i remember right, it was ages ago :{
You'd need to make sure about the temp of your car, and make sure the sun doesn't shine down on them........ cause you're in WA i'd be waiting for a cooler day, you've had horrendous temps for ages :{

yea the temp is getting better now and is raining more so its good weather so far (touch wood)

Yes i saw on the tv the other night!
Been interested as our neighbour's daughter is living south of Perth, poor girl has been frying! :{

thanks alot guys but sadly last night at about 10 o clock he spasmed onto his side and ..pass away..8...R.I.P Ace i feel so bad...should i get another pair and try again in the future..8...

I am very sorry for your loss. :(

Before getting two new additions I would have a chat with your parents about the potential vet bills as you had mentioned in a previous post that your parents couldn't afford the 140 dollars. When I was considering getting my two I had to really think about what would happen if one, or even both of them, got ill and needed expensive medical care. Luckily for me I don't have to rely on my parents but what I am doing is putting money aside every month that will help with any potential costs. Perhaps you could do the same? Or maybe work out some deal with your parents that they could do something similar in exchange for you doing something for them? Preperation is definitely key here, especially when vet bills can amount to a lot of money very quickly and it's not easy to unexpectedly have to find extra cash (I don't know what it's like where you are, but there doesn't seem to be many companies in the UK offering decent insurance for guinea pigs).

RIP Ace xx
