An Unexpected Trip to the Vet

Hope gorgeous Jemimah is feeling a bit better today and meds have worn off a bit, glad it went well xx

So pleased to hear that Jemimah is doing well. Hope she has had a good night and recovering well.x

Jemimah was much brighter this morning and has improved steadily throughout the day.
She struggled to eat a lettuce leaf this morning so Micah and Priscilla’helped’.
I gave Jemimah some shredded leaf which she coped with ok.
She’s eating hay and pellets no problem and seemed to be fine with her salad leaves and a piece of celery this evening . She’s certainly looking much brighter.
I’m hoping she was just still feeling a bit uncomfortable around her mouth this morning and that will settle.
I will check her weight tomorrow and start weighing daily just to make sure she is eating properly.
I have seen poops!

Thanks for asking - it’s appreciated

So glad to hear she’s doing well. Shredded or julienne style veggies will definitely make it easier for her to grab onto if her little mouth is sore.

Thank @VickiA - I was thinking that might be a good idea so nice to have confirmation.
I will also need to try and give hers separately or the others will help themselves too.
No matter how carefully I explain they don’t seem to understand the concept of sharing :D

I remember when I was dealing with little Melody’s teeth issues and popped her veg strips upright in an egg cup her helpful Mum Louise thought this new style of dining was just what she needed and decided to help herself first. I ended up having to feed them at opposite ends of the cage to make sure little Mel got her share.

Aww only just spotted this... sending lots of healing vibes to Jemimah xx

Hello. Been wrapped up with a poorly piggie and know how stressful you must have been.
Great News Jemimah is showing great signs of getting better. :yahoo:

Glad to hear she's home & doing well
Healing vibes being sent your way from the girls & I.
Xx

Aw Jemimah! Everything crossed she's back to normal soon poor little lady. These mystery issues are always so much more stressful ❤

Jemimah is putting weight back on.
She’s eating hay, pellets and harder veggies well, still struggling a bit with larger leaves but copes well with small bits.
She’s bright and active and pooping .
As soon as her mouth settles she’ll be fine.

I will be very happy when her weight is back to normal

Jemimah would like to thank all her forum friends for their support this week.
It wasn’t fun having her teeth sorted but she’s much better now and is eating properly and putting on weight very nicely.
She would like to assure her favourite boars, Bill and Ted that will be back to her chunky self very soon 💋 💋 💋
