Awwww Angel bless her x)

What an amazing little lady. She certainly enjoys those chin rubs!

Good to see Angel still hanging in there. Give her a hug from Katy and Me and Star sends some loving wheeks to Harry.

after having several forum members ask about angel i thought i'd better update you on how she is doing.
she's still here much to my surprise and i'm so grateful for the extra time i am having with her. the tumour is getting really big but as said before, she isn't in pain, she's eating and drinking but she takes a while to get comfortable. i have noticed today that the lump is looking quite purple in colour and i do think we are getting quite close to losing her now.
these are a couple of pictures of the lump - not sure you will be able to tell how big it is from them though.

This is very similar to Sunshine, however, we never realised at the time as the lump was more internal. When her time came it was thankfully very quick.

so happy you are still sharing precious moments with your Angel. But oh that lump :{ poor baby, glad she is comfortable, you are a good mummy xx

ps/ would have been nice to see her face too lol bless her

That is a big old lump, poor girl. Lovely that she is still happy & active though :).

Wishing you lots more time together x

this was Angel when she first arrived. she was so thin you could fell all her bones.

So glad she is still enjoying life to the full. x

Gorgeous guineas in their snuggly beds :)

that's how chesneys lump was, just right in the centre of his underneath, but his was more inside, deeper. 8... his wasn't that big though, although probably would have been eventually. :-(

i'm so glad she is still with you and seems happy. she is a beautiful girl. x

it's breaks your heart doesn't it when these things happen. i do often sit and wonder if i'm being cruel to her but she doesn't seem to be suffering so i think she is happy to stay a little longer with me

it really is heartbreaking. i think you are doing the right thing though. she doesn't seem to be suffering at all and seems to want to stick around a while, so enjoy every moment with your special girl. x

i will do - life is so cruel at times

well i've been to the vets today with Angel. i honestly thought today was the day. the tumour has doubled in size in the last 48 hours and it is huge now. it fills the palm of my hand now and i was so worried in case she was suffering. the vet gave her a really thorough check up and said she is in fantastic condition now, apart from this damn tumour! i asked his advice about what to do and he told me if she was his he would let her continue - she's not in any pain. there doesn't appear to be any secondary tumours, she's eating and drinking and her heart etc are in great condition. he did say that there is some discolouration (it's starting to look purple). he also said she may only have a few more days but she could last another 6 weeks - we just have to wait and see. so for now at least, i still have my beautiful Angel

Oh poor Angle to have to have a tumor. Thank goodness she is not in any pain and appears well. It is amazing she has survived this long since the diagnosis she was given. It must be so painful for you never knowing when you will lose your precious girl. I am so sorry you both have to go through this.

Oh it's so sad as she is a beautiful piggy, she really is such a pretty brave little girl. I hope you have weeks with her rather than days xx

Good news that she's still eating, drinking & happy :)

Keep on going Angel, you're such a lovely girl

Thanks for the update on Angel, glad your pretty girl is doing well. She is very strong, bless her.

sadly i know the time is very close for me to say goodnight to Angel. the tumour is huge now, she can barely walk, she struggles to lie down and she looks very sad now. she is still eating but i feel that i would only be holding onto her for my own selfish needs and i really need to consider how she is feeling now. the skin surrounding the tumour is so tight and shiny it looks like it will burst at anytime. i have noticed this evening that the skin is also getting very dry and flaky. i have to take my dog to the vets tomorrow or tuesday (whenever they can fit me in) so i have made the hardest decision of my life - to take Angel with me. i know she won't come home this time but i cannot put her through this anymore. she had such a crap life before coming here and although she has love, food, a nice place to live etc she has never stopped having problems. this is her time now to relax and not have to suffer another minute in this cruel world. i will miss her dearly, but know i have to do the best for her. my beautiful girl, Angel xx

So sorry Sally, you are a very special person for all you have done for Angel. I know it's hard to say goodbye but you know when it is the right time. Angel may have had a sad start to life, but you have gave her a lifetime of happiness, safety and love in the time she has been with you. I so wish you could have had longer with her. Will be thinking of you both over these coming days. Lots of love and vibes for a peaceful passing to the bridge for gorgeous Angel. She is beautiful and I so enjoyed meeting her the other week.

You are very brave, if there is anything we can do just let us know

thankyou both for your kind words. angel is such a gentle little soul, she deserves dignity and respect at the end and that is what i will give her. i would have had her 12 months on 10th july, so not very long at all, but at least she was loved in that time xx

Oh my heart sank when I saw you had posted on Angel's thread as I had a feeling it would be sad news. I am so sorry she is poorly now. You are making the right decision to end her suffering. I know she had a bad start but she will remember the love you have given her and take her happy memories with her.
